PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Sodium thiosulphate being the active reagent in the Bluefarm® presentation dissolves fast in water and reacts with chlorine content in water to reduce the chlorine content in water down at a minimum.
Bluefarm® is dissolved in water at 20 0C for 5 minutes. It neutralizes chlorine all within 10 minutes to leave a free chloric content of 10 ppm in water.
Patent Blue V also dissolves fast in water, changing the color of vaccine water into bluish-green. This color does not affect water consumption.
It only colors the tongues and maws of intaking animals temporarily for 1 to 2 hours.
AREA OF APPLICATION / INDICATIONS
Bluefarm® is indicated for vaccine applications held on winged animals in vivo;
- To protect vaccine against the chlorine content of potable water,
- To trace and control the vaccine water discharged to the potable water networks,
- To act as a determinant in time of direct checks aimed at determining whether the animals have taken in the vaccined water.
METHOD OF USE AND APPLICABLE DOSING
Each Bluefarm® bag of 15 g contains material for 100 liters of water and should be applied adhering to the following procedure:
1. Prepare water for vaccination in necessary amounts.
2. Pour 15 g of Bluefarm® for every water volume of 100 liters. Wait for 10 minutes for neutralizaiton of chlorine atoms. Then stir the mixture up using a spatula made of plastic material.
3. Take liquid from the resultant solution in desired amounts and submerge the vaccine vilas to open and dilute it in this liquid. Next, pour the resultant vaccinated water back to the tank.
4. Empty the tubes containing water mixed with solution until a colored water start to rush off.
5. Ensure that the animal intakes the vaccined water.
6. Once after the vaccination is complete, adding Bluefarm® solutions into the water to be consumed at a dosage of 1 bag per 100 liters of water for 2 hours is recommended.
Checking the Consequences of Application
- Start to perform checks immediately after completion of vaccination.
- Record those among 100 animals, with tongues and/or maws colored.
In case of field breeding, form 4 groups of 25 from different parts of the hut.
In case of cage breeding; take 10 animals from totally 10 cages located at different parts of the hut.
- Calculate the percentage of coloring in the tongues and maws of animals thus collected. A result yielding vaccination higher than 90 percent will confirm proper application.
GENERAL PRECAUTIONS
To be used only with potable water to be used solely for vaccination purposes.
Keep out of reach of children.
Dispose off used package wastes using garbage cans.
CONDITIONS OF STORAGE AND SHELFLIFE
The product should be stored in its original packaging at room temperature (15-25 °C) in a place free of direct sunlight and moisture. This way, the shelflife of the product is assessed to be 2 years from date of manufacture.
